Who We Are:
Co-Founders: Mother-Daughter Nurse Team:
Patricia Love BA, RN & Rebecca Love RN, MSN, ANP
My mother and I, both nurses, founded HireNurses.com after years of witnessing friends, family and patients struggle to connect with qualified and licensed care-givers for their loved ones. We knew there had to be a way to connect with nurses and certified nursing assistants to help families with their loved ones needing care, so we founded HireNurses.com.
Even before my mother and I became nurses, we saw the struggles parents of special needs children faced when finding care. My father, Kary Love Esq, is a leading Special Education Attorney and often met parents under horrifically stressful situations when parents were fighting to get services for their child. During this time period for parents, many of their marriages fell apart under the stress. I asked him after doing another intake call from a mother who stated her husband and her were separated, was their anything we could do to help, and he responded, find them childcare. Although, it's been a few years since that conversation, we have been able to find care for parents who have children with special needs and more!
It happened suddenly, no one in our family was prepared when we learned my grandfather was
dying and had only a few months to live. He vehemently opposed going into a nursing home and
my grandmother insisted he would stay at home and she would care for him. When it quickly
became apparent that she could not manage on her own, their family including 8 children and 3
nurses stepped in to help. However, it was a huge challenge, most of us lived States away, we all
had jobs and families and figuring out how to balance what became the need for round the clock
care took a toll on everyone. We looked for additional care to help, but we couldn't find any and
staffing companies were just too expensive for us to manage. It was an incredibly challenging
time and I remember thinking - how do other families manage this?
It's now year later and we finally have a solution: HireNurses.com. If you'd like to read more about our story, you can read it on the Boston Business Journal.
