As an RN, Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor you will:
Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care including preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures where appropriate in accordance with MD orders. Identifies problems and establishes measurable goals
Coordinates the plan of care with members of the care provider team and other agencies providing nursing or related services to provide continuity of care and to implement a comprehensive plan of care
Performs on-going case management/supervisory visits according to patient’s needs as ordered by the physician, policy and state regulations to ensure adherence to the plan of care
Supervises patient care provided by licensed vocational nurses and paraprofessionals. This supervision includes direct and indirect monitoring of private duty personnel interactions with patients, families, and physicians
Coordinates obtaining medical supplies and equipment for patients as needed. Provides instruction to private duty personnel and other care providers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and medical supplies appropriate for care
Provides consultation with and education of the client and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques and disease prevention strategies, as appropriate
Provides leadership, the application of new knowledge, and encourages staff motivation. Acts as a resource for patient, families and private duty personnel
Participates in the On-Call rotation and as requested

Licensed in the State of California by the Board of Registered Nursing.
Current CPR card, health clearance and clinical skills self-assessment
Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience.
Minimum of two years of experience as a clinical supervisor or charge nurse in a hospital or homecare setting.

Join us for a 13-day (in-country) pediatric medical mission in the southeast Volta Region of Ghana, organized by Healthy Villages, Inc. and Show Me Your Stethoscope (SMYS).This mission will focus on well-child checkups, immunizations, health education, and treating a variety of childhood illnesses.In our October 2016 mission, we treated everything from coughs and colds to severe malaria in children of all ages.On this trip, we would like to add a well-child component.This mission will serve some of the world’s poorest people, who have little or no access to healthcare.We expect to see at least 700 children over 6 ½ days in clinic.
DATES:August 4 through 18 (inclusive of date of departure from the U.S. & date of arrival back in the U.S.).
COST:In-country cost: $2000.Flight cost: approximately $1000 to $1500.Pre-travel costs: approximately $250.Total cost: approximately $3500 (does not include personal expenditures).A $200 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your place on the mission.This will be deducted from your total cost.

Greater Richmond ARC's Camp Baker is a full-service, handicap-equipped retreat facility located on twenty-two wooded acres near Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Campers receive care and supervision in a safe, nurturing environment. Camp Baker supports children from age six through adults who have disabilities so they can develop friendships and build self-esteem and achieve higher levels of independence while mastering new skills for community living.
Camp Baker has been serving individuals with special needs since 1929 when it was a respite for undernourished children. In 1957, ownership was transferred to Chesterfield County under the care of Greater Richmond ARC. It has undergone many renovations. Today it is a barrier-free, fully accessible facility providing a rewarding camp experience for individuals with disabilities. Upgrades include a dining hall, outdoor amphitheater and 62-bed lodge. Summer Camp provides activities that include swimming, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, dance & theatre arts, arts & crafts and a variety sports.
Salary depends on experience. Includes room and board, on-duty meals, cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry facility, outdoor pool, and nature trail.
