Our critical care float pool serves all our adult ICU areas which consist of Medical-Surgical ICU (24 beds), Neuro-Trauma ICU (20 beds), Cardiac ICU (16 beds), Cardiovascular ICU (19 beds) and a mixed Overflow ICU (12 beds). They also float to our 6 progressive care units which cover Medical Cardiology Step Down, Medical Cardiology Surgical Step Down, Cardiovascular Progressive Care, Pulmonary Medical Progressive Care, Intermediate Care Unit, and Chest Pain Observation Unit.
Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and the entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.
Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.
Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.Preferred License or
Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.
The Recovery RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:
Assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.
Provides comfort and support for post-operative patients.
Evaluates responses to treatments and interventions.
Carries out physician orders.
Qualifications:
Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
Current BLS certifications thru AHA
Previous experience in acute care setting
Previous experience in OR preferred
Min one year circulating experience within the past 2 years
Surgery center experience is ok
Robotics is a PLUS
MUST take on call- must be within 30mins to take on call (1 weekday and 1 weekend per month)

The Neuro-trauma ICU is a combined unit providing neuro-intensive care as well as surgical-trauma care. It serves a variety of patients often found on both trauma and neuro units. This could be a great blend for those looking to broaden their knowledge and careers..
