This 733 bed Community Hospital is continuously expanding. Position Summary:
For Neuroscience 3G:
24 beds
· Level 4 Epilepsy Center - diagnosis through possible alleviation of seizure after surgery
· Collaborative approach to care. All available RNs and NTs respond to seizure bells.
· Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Program caring for acute stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic)
· Neurosurgical and Neurology patients. Typical Diagnoses: Brain Tumors, post-op craniotomies, Aneurysm clippings and coiling, Cerebrovascular disease, Stroke, TSA for pituitary tumors, Lumbar Drain, Shunts, epilepsy & seizures, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre, optic neuritis, etc.
· CNS on site
· Shared Governance Model
· Multi-disciplinary team committed to improvement of quality & safety using EBP
For Neuroscience 9E:
22 beds
· Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Program caring for acute stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic)
· Neurosurgical and Neurology patients. Typical Diagnoses: Brain Tumors, Aneurysms, Cerebrovascular disease, Stroke, TSA for pituitary tumors, Lumbar Drain, Shunts, epilepsy & seizures, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre, optic neuritis, etc.
· CNS on site
· Shared Governance Model
· Multi-disciplinary team committed to improvement of quality & safety using EBP
Qualifications:
· BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
· At least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years in acute care hospital setting.
· Must have a minimum 1 year as an RN w/ BSN or 2 plus years as an RN w/Associates. Must have experience in desired specialty.
· Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
