Job Description

 Screen patients and provide immediate/urgent treatment, according to the status of the patients and level of care needed within scope of practice and learning.
 Room patient and prepare for examination by provider.
 Set up and operate specialized equipment, such as cardiac monitors, EKG machines, etc.
 Prepare patients for tests, exams and treatment.
 Administer prescribed medications following the “five rights in giving medication.”
 Anticipate and perform preliminary specimen collection and lab testing as indicated.
 Document and report lab results to Provider and patient.
 Maintain health records by proper and complete documentation of nursing observations, interventions, therapeutic measurers and patient education.
 Provide counseling and teach patients and families on preventative, curative and rehabilitative measurers involved in health care.
 Exercise excellent interpersonal skills in handling interaction with clinic staff, patients and families.
 Coordinate patient flow.
 Maintain professional knowledge and skill in nursing by attending continuing education, staff meetings and workshops.
 Maintain organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area.
 Maintain patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.
 Ensure all communications reflect the standard and mission of RCMS.
PCN: 2
 Carry out other duties within the scope of RN license as assigned by the Urgent Care Team Leader.
 Other duties as assigned.
