Job Description

A Reputable Home Health Agency is  currently seeking an experienced home health leader to fill the position of Director for our new home health nursing program. This individual is responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the home care program and acts as a liaison with management staff and other departments throughout the company.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to develop home health nursing program from scratch by acquiring “deemed status” to meet the requirements for billing Medicaid/Medicare, state recognition, and completing all applications for appropriate governing bodies
  • Implement and maintain administrative practices ensuring applicable state and federal regulations
  • Administer day-to-day operations of the home care program
  • Coordinate and complete assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long-range company strategy
  • Oversight of patient eligibility referred to home care services
  • Direct plan for the services to be provided to patients and supervise their total home health care
  • Evaluate and recommend scheduling, clinical, and billing software
  • Recruit, lead, motivate, and retain a qualified staff
  • Enhance the profitability of the program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Must be a licensed RN in the state of California
  • Extensive experience in home care management with sales and business development experience
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and serve as role model for management and staff throughout the organization
  • Must be capable of managing multiple operational and development projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Able to effectively write reports and business correspondence and present information to groups
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Valid driver license

  • Three weeks paid PTO the first two years; four weeks beginning third year
