 Position Summary:
The ICU RN manages the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.  The tasks and responsibilities include:
 
  • Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
  • Carries out physician orders.
  • Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
  • Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
  • Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instructs and educates patients and families.

HOURS:: 30-40 hours per week. Daytime 10-hour shift, 9AM to 7PM, and/or overnight 14-hour shift, 7PM to 9AM.  
PAY: $25 p/h CNA, $25++ p/h negotiatable per qualifications and degrees
PATIENT: Bright, vibrant, loving, educated, artist, devoted wife of 42 years. Living at home with her  husband and adult daughter. Patient haas mobility limitations, takes medications and feed by G/J  tube. Requires assistance with all ADLs. Patient sits in a chair, can stand with assistance, bear hug transfer and has never been bed-ridden. Patient is 5’7 and 125lbs. Patient participates in weekly OT, PT and speech therapy while enjoying exercising daily and riding her recumbent  bike and hand bike.  
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The unit is a mixed CVICU/CCU that takes care of many different diagnosis including: STEMI, Cardiac Arrest, IABP, Impella, and various post open heart surgery patients. We also take care of medical ICU patients that include: sepsis, DKA, CRRT, and respiratory failure. Our goal is the provision of clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient- centered environment. Schedule Days- 0645-1915 Night 1845-0715 Floating within the module on a rotational basis (Includes all adult ICUs and Telemetry floors) One additional shift minimum per 4 week schedule UPDATE: As of 6/12/20, Renown Reserves the right to call off, without penalty, FOUR (4) shifts, or 48 hours, for low census per 13 week contract.
