The Hospital offers a variety of services, including women's services, sports medicine, and neurological care. The hospital's cardiovascular services include the only open heart and interventional cardiology in the region. Our critical care float pool serves all our adult ICU areas which consist of Medical-Surgical ICU (24 beds), Neuro-Trauma ICU (20 beds), Cardiac ICU (16 beds), Cardiovascular ICU (19 beds) and a mixed Overflow ICU (12 beds). They also float to our 6 progressive care units which cover Medical Cardiology Step Down, Medical Cardiology Surgical Step Down, Cardiovascular Progressive Care, Pulmonary Medical Progressive Care, Intermediate Care Unit, and Chest Pain Observation Unit.

Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. HOURS:: 30-40 hours per week. Daytime 10-hour shift, 9AM to 7PM, and/or overnight 14-hour shift, 7PM to 9AM.  
PAY: $25 p/h CNA, $25++ p/h negotiatable per qualifications and degrees
PATIENT: Bright, vibrant, loving, educated, artist, devoted wife of 42 years. Living at home with her  husband and adult daughter. Patient haas mobility limitations, takes medications and feed by G/J  tube. Requires assistance with all ADLs. Patient sits in a chair, can stand with assistance, bear hug transfer and has never been bed-ridden. Patient is 5’7 and 125lbs. Patient participates in weekly OT, PT and speech therapy while enjoying exercising daily and riding her recumbent  bike and hand bike.  
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure:
