Job Title: Administrative Director - Nursing ICU/PCU/Med-Surg Job Description: Reporting to the CNO, the Administrative Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources for the ICU, PCU and Med/Surg units. These responsibilities include: -Budget responsibility -Efficient/effective resource utilization -Recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff -Achieving quality outcomes -Performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services -Maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment. Required Skills & Experience:

1. ICU Oversight Experience

2. Previous leadership experience in an acute care hospital

3. ICU RN background preferred

4. Progressive care and Med Surg experience preferred

5. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Nursing

6. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field

Care is provided in a private labor, delivery and recovery room (LDR). Also within L&D is an eight bed Triage unit, six bed recovery room (PACU) and three operating rooms (OR's) equipped for cesarean sections and high risk births.

Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered)

- Must possess an active RN MD license

- Five years of clinical healthcare experience

- 1 year MINIMUM of recent L&D experience

- EFM Certification (Electric Fetal Monitoring)

· Have experience with Occupational Health Medicine (specifically related to manufacturing). Must be able to support and treat various types of work-related injuries (i.e., ergonomic stressors); ability to recognize employee limitations and inability to perform specific duties, and take medical histories and communicate laboratory test results.

· Have knowledge of occupational health regulations, techniques, procedures, practices, and standards applicable to the performance of inspections investigations.

· Have practical knowledge of pharmacology and skill to administer over-the-counter medications and other medications as prescribed by the physician or employee’s personal care provider and observe for desired reactions or adverse reactions to medications. Knowledge of symptoms to distinguish between (for example) diabetic coma or insulin shock.

· Process for documenting and maintaining medical records (good oral and written communication skills); adherence to the Regulations cited herein and overall quality-control processes.
