| Hello! Our family is seeking a nursing student, LPN, RN, or BSN to assist in caring for our 3 year old son who sustained a femur break on the 27th of September. He is currently in a spica cast with very limited mobility. He is anticiapted to be in this cast for the next 5-12 weeks, and we are looking for someone to come daily M-F from approximately 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Duties will include diapering, cast care, feeding assistance (and potentially preparing meals), as well as moving our soon to and from his wheelchair as well as changing positions. He is approximately 55lbs with his cast, so applicants will need to be comfortable lifting that amount of weight. It will not be likely that the applicant will need to carry him up and down stairs. As our son is 3, we would like the individual who assists us to be comfortable with children, and have the ability to play with him as well as assist wtih his care. This may include playing games, participating in acitivities, etc. Someone with childcare experience is highly preferred. The individual will need to be comfortable administering over the counter medication (such as Motrin). At this time, we do not require that the individual be able to administer prescription medication; however, our son does have an egg allergy, therefore someone who has dealt with food allergies is preferable. He does have an epi-pen for his allergy, though we thankfully have not had to use it. I work from home, and will be available to assist should anything come up. We also have a 22 month old son, and will have a babysitter present as well to watch him and help out if need be. We have two dogs (one large and one small) who are very sweet, but do jump occasionally. The individual should be comfortable with dogs - who also like to give "kisses" from time to time! Please provide references - we also require a clean background check and the individual must have transportation to and from Madeira, OH. We will not require applicants to transport our children. He is the sweetest boy, and we look forward to meeting you! |
