Education:

Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution.

 

Experience:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  • Supervise healthcare and protect clients while in their care
  • Represent the nursing office at assigned weekly team meetings
  • Transcribe orders, receive verbal orders as needed and send order to pharmacy per department protocols

  • Review lab results with Nursing Supervisor and Psychiatrist

  • Visit and evaluate asthmatic clients on a monthly basis, or more frequently if necessary, and maintain spirometer readings
  • Schedule individual and group asthma teaching sessions
  • Participate in programs designed to help clients acquire socially acceptable habits of behavior
  • Participate in programs designed to help clients accept their medical conditions and handle them appropriately
  • Use appropriate authority to set limits for behavior while clients are in the nurses' office
  • Maintain complete, accurate records of all medications administered outlined in agency policy
  • Learn and become familiar with Hillsides' pharmacy recordkeeping and legalities involved
  • Provide office coverage in the absence of the Nursing Supervisor
  • Prepare memos and letters as needed
  • Maintain client charts as needed filing pertinent doctor appointments and psychiatric notes

The Stone Center of NJ is one of the largest lithotripsy facilities in the country and currently has openings for full time and per diem registered nurses. All interested candidates should be able to provide skillful and competent individualized nursing care for patients pre, intra and post procedures.

The candidate must be able to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient care in a collaborative method with the patient, patient’s family and all members of the healthcare team. We are looking for Nurse Practitioners who are adept at providing services to our growing patient base. We provide virtual care for our patients. As an Aeva Clinic provider, you’ll be exposed to cross functional teams and have the opportunity to re-imagine how we diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients virtually.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Conducts initial visit, and regularly scheduled follow up visits with patients. All visits will be provided via Telemedicine.
  • Reviews lab work of all new patients to assess suitability for various programs; including sexual health, medical weight loss, responsible hormone balancing, pain management, as well as other services offered.
  • Ability to interview, examine, assess, evaluate, and identify health problems.
  • Knowledge in nutrition, stress management, physical activity, and other components of lifestyle medicine, sexual health and pain management. If not proficient in these areas, must possess a strong desire to learn these areas of medicine.
  • Must demonstrate compassion for patients and their barriers to health, and most importantly have a positive and supportive personality to support patients and to be understanding of their needs. In addition, must work well with fellow staff.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, motivational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • License to practice medicine in at least five states of the following: Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
  • Must have an active license as Nurse Practitioner
