Our client Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care is seeking a dynamic Nurse Leader to join our team. In the role of Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing all clinical services provided to clients as well as the education, training, and supervision of our nurses in the field.

$3,000 Sign on Bonus!! 

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with two day field/home office hybrid role after training. 
On-Call: every other week/weekend or every 3rd weekend

  • Direct care of the patient in restraints, assessing for physical needs i.e. nutrition, hydration, toileting and range of motion exercises.

  • Performs a wide range of diagnostic support duties, which includes taking vital signs, documenting patient’s pain perception, obtaining specimens, administering medications, receiving and recording lab results.
  • Setting up medical equipment for procedures; and assisting physicians and registered nurses with procedures.
  • Supports patients and/or family in the integration of the patient plan of care toward changes to improve health.
  • Maintains the dignity and worth of individuals, respects cultural, spiritual and psychosocial differences and applies philosophical and ethical concepts that promote quality and continuity of care. Demonstration of continual cultural awareness and focus on customer service while adhering to the Code of Ethics and Federal Code of Conduct
  • Observes and documents pertinent information regarding patient status in the electronic health record.
  • Participates in planning patient care that is consistent with accepted nursing standards and in compliance with prescribed medical treatment plans.
  • Carries out nursing procedures according to guidelines and a nursing plan of care.

  • Examines and analyzes body fluids, such as blood and cells.

  • Any absence from scheduled work shifts requires prior approval by the Government representative or designee. Approval of leave is contingent upon availability of a qualified replacement.
  • Absences of three (3) or more consecutive days due to illness require documentation from a qualified healthcare provider stating: (1) the cause of the current illness or incapacitation; AND (2) indicating the staff member as contagious or non-contagious to the Government. The Government reserves the right to examine and/or re-examine any individual who meets the criteria.
  • Experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position in a clinical laboratory.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma required from an nationally accredited LPN program

Purpose

Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
CNA Personal Nursing Functions
  • Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the nurse, e.g. range of motion exercises, assistance in ambulation or exercises.
  • Performs personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, and others as directed/requested.
  • Performs household services essential to health care at home including meal preparation/feeding, laundry and ironing, changing/laundering bed linens, light housekeeping and other services as offered.
  • Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents.
  • Observes and documents the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse.
  • Responds promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance and emergency pull cords.
  • Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situation to the nurse.
  • Assist residents in preparing and transporting for appointments and social programs.
  • Assist with moving and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
  • Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
CNA Education and Experience
  • Prefer 6 months or more in home care or assisted living experience.
CNA Licensing/Certifications
  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
